What to Expect at Our Annual Summer BBQ and Pool Party

Every year, Black Bear Lake Day Camp throws the biggest and best party of the season. Held in early August, it’s our biggest event of the year. What makes it so special is that it’s technically three events in one—an open house for the camp, a barbecue feast, and a festive pool party. Here’s everything you need to know to get the most out of a Summer BBQ and Pool Party at the best day camp in New Jersey.

Have Fun

The first rule of our summer barbecue and pool party is having fun! There are so many fun activities for kids and adults to enjoy. First, there’s the food—freshly grilled burgers and hot dogs to munch on, chilled lemonade, and delicious desserts. There’s plenty to go around and options for everyone to eat, even if you have dietary restrictions. Then, there’s the activities. Kids can swim in the pool, go down the water slides, play games in the water, and more. But we also have our lake, complete with our Lake Waterpark, for you to enjoy. It has inflated rafts, slides, trampolines, and more fun activities. You can even go boating on the water!

Learn About Summer Camp

Even though summer is in full swing, it’s never too early to start thinking about next summer—especially if you weren’t able to make it to camp this year. Everyone comes out for this special day—our staff, directors, counselors, and even some campers. Everyone is here to show you around camp in a full-blown tour. You can see the facilities, amenities, electives, locations, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions of our staff about our camp and hear the answers directly from the source.

We also usually launch registration for the following summer right around this time. As part of our early registration, we offer the best deal on enrollment rates of the season!
